Trains used to shunt up with a couple of carriages and unload what was wanted and off they’d go again. Then they’d pick up when another lot would come into Yeovil Town Station. They would have this train and would bring it back up to Westland’s again whatever they wanted.
Interviewer: What sort of things did it carry, the train?
You know, materials and one thing and another. Bags of alloy and all things like that. Anything that Westland’s needed, you know, anything sort of thing.
Interviewer: This was a steam train?
Oh yes, they had the steam train then in those days.
